Depart Samburu early in the morning and proceed to Mount Kenya National Park. Mount Kenya is Africa’s second highest mountain and is a world heritage site. It is a pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forests, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals such as the tree hyrax, the white tailed mongoose, black fronted duiker, molerat, bushbucks and eland. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards the rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure while watching the animals come to have a drink at the waterhole

In these two days you will have morning and afternoon game drives within the park. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Grevy Zebra.

Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet, Monkeys and Warthogs, Bushpig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers are abound in Hippo and Crocodile. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous weavers.
